Dubrovnik is a historic coastal city located in southern Croatia, along the Adriatic Sea. It is one of the country’s most famous tourist destinations, known for its well-preserved medieval architecture and stunning seaside views.
Dubrovnik was historically known as the Republic of Ragusa, an independent maritime republic that existed from the 14th to the early 19th century. It was a major trading hub and rivalled Venice in maritime commerce.
Dubrovnik is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is surrounded by massive stonewalls dating back to the 10th century, which are among the best-preserved in Europe. Inside the walls, visitors can find narrow streets, historic churches, palaces, and squares.
